Countryside Bed and Breakfast accommodation in the Lycian region of Turkey
Tim and Judith offer peaceful holiday accommodation in the village of Saribelen in the hills above Kalkan on the Turquoise coast of Turkey.

We can give you a relaxed holiday in this idyllic location, a quiet friendly village; only 10 minutes drive from the bustling coastal holiday town of Kalkan and 30 minutes from Kaş.
You will be amazed by the warmth and hospitality of the local people and have the opportunity of experiencing traditional village life as it still is in Southern Turkey.
The house which was newly built in 2007 is spiritual and welcoming but at the same time is well appointed to make your stay as comfortable as possible.
To help you relax the pool is available throughout the summer months. The village is less humid than the nearby coastal resorts. and in the summer this makes the heat much more bearable.
Each of the four guest bedrooms is air conditioned and en-suite with a private shower room; and looks out to the South West with views through the Kaputas Gorge and out to sea for more than 100 km.
Walking the Lycian Way
Moonstone House is ideally situated for exploring the Lycian Way on foot. The whole of the Western half of the Lycian Way, from Ovacek to Myra can be reached by car in an hour and There are many other beautiful walks in the mountains within very easy reach.
If you are walking the Lycian Way Moonstone House provides ideal overnight accommodation for Bed and Breakfast. We are only 200m off the footpath, about a days walk from Kalkan and 2 days from Kaş.
The winter months are the most popular for walking in Southern Turkey and we are very keen walkers ourselves. We will be happy to offer guidance on the best walks in the area, suitable for people at all levels of fitness. Many of the walks around the village are good circular routes, starting and finishing at Moonstone house or we can give you a lift to the start or from the finish of point to point walks.
Lycian Ruins
The ancient Lycian cities of Xanthos, Patara, Myra and Tlos are all within an hour's drive of Moonstone House.
Other Lycian ruins such as those at Pinara, Sidyma, Kyaneai and Antiphelos are also less than an hour away and have been almost completely unexcavated. You can wander around them, usually completely alone apart from the odd goat and explore with no restrictions. Shepherds may come up to you and offer to sell you coins found at the sites, but beware, taking such archeological treasures out of the country is strictly forbidden.
It is wonderful to just enjoy the ruins for what they are; unchanged for more than 1500 years.
Enjoying the Sun
Two of the best beaches in the Antalya region lie within 30 minutes of Moonstone House. At the bottom of Kaputaş Canyon is Kaputaş Beach with beatiful golden sands and the sea which is an amazing turquoise. Kaputaş is only a small beach and very popular inthe summer but the other side of Kalkan you can enjoy Patara beach, which is a 16 kilometre stretch of sand. Again very popular and with a nice beach restaurant, but if you walk only a couple of hundred metres along the beach you can be completely undisturbed. The marine turtles Caretta Caretta nest on the beach during the summer months so no overnight camping is allowed.
